May 23 – Butser & Old Winchester Hill Circular
Approx. 30km (18 Miles)
Starting at the bottom of Queen Elizabeth Country Park, I made my way underneath the road to the start of Butser Hill, ready to make the climb of one of Hampshire’s highest points on the chalk ridge of the South Downs. Knowing today I would be assessing all my mental and physical strength with a 6-hour hilly route, I was ready for the challenge, my mind was in the right place, and I had prepared myself for this route overnight.
