December 23 – The Durleighmarsh Circular throughout the Year

Approx. 8 km (5 miles)

One route that was only a few miles away from home, and certainly has become one of my regular routes when I’ve got a couple of hours to spare, is driving over to Petersfield and walking the Petersfield to Durleighmarsh circular route.  This is a route I have ventured in the different seasons too, seeing so many wonderful aspects of nature.

Parking at the Heath in Petersfield, I would make my way through the town heading out to the main A272, Midhurst to Petworth Road, cutting across the back of the fields, which takes you up through the lines of fruit trees after the ‘bent tree’, through some wooded areas, where you approach the back of the fields of Durleighmarsh Farm, often stopping at the Tea barn for refreshments halfway round.
