Tuesday March 4th

A 3.6 mile walk enjoying a relaxed walk from Bepton (The Stable Coffee Bar at Bepton), to The Old Brickworks, through to the Greyhound Pub, back into Midhurst and back around to the starting point. A shortened version of one of my walks from my book ‘The Cow Selfie Walk’
A mixture of sandy paths, roadway walking, walking through farmland with possible sightings of cows, sheep, horses.
Dogs on leads are welcome, £1 donation towards our charity of the month. Mixed terrains and please note it can get a little muddy and wet in places after rain so always a good idea to have good walking boots/shoes and waterproof socks.
Refreshments available from The Stable Cafe on our return, unfortunately no toilets on this route (other than a wild wee). Nearest bus stop would be at the Bepton Corner coming into Midhurst, walking towards the Country Inn pub (around 10 mins walk).
Please arrive around 9.45am for a prompt start at 10.00am. The walk will be departing at 10am on the dot ready for the 2nd walk at 11.30am which will be a further 3 miles if you would like to join me for the 2nd part making it a 6 mile route on the day.
For our first walk their may be extra goodies to enjoy!! Look forward to seeing you there and would be grateful if you can please let me know if you are definitely joining me on the day so I can see how many are coming. Thank you all Vicki x
PLEASE EMAIL VICKI@THETALLDOG.CO.UK TO CONFIRM YOUR PLACE OR MESSAGE 07576 112199

Continuing on from our 1st walk at 10am, we will meet at 11.30am to start at 11.45am so please bear with us to continue with a 2.9 mile walk from Bepton (The Stable Coffee Bar at Bepton), through the woods to Minsted, heading back through Midhurst Common and back to the starting point.
A mixture of woodland (possibly muddy) paths, a little roadway walking, walking through farmland with possible sightings of chickens, goats, a shepherds hut, horse and beautiful woodland trees.
Dogs on leads are welcome, £1 donation towards our charity of the month. Mixed terrains and please note it can get sometimes very muddy and wet in places, and this walk does have some uneven ground especially after rain so always a good idea to have good walking boots/shoes and waterproof socks.
Refreshments available from The Stable Cafe on our return, unfortunately no toilets on this route (other than a wild wee). Nearest bus stop would be at the Bepton Corner coming into Midhurst, walking towards the Country Inn pub (around 10 mins walk).
Please note if you are joining us just on part 2 only of todays walk, as this is a figure of 8 walk continuing on from our first part we are aiming to be back in time for a 11.30am – 11.45am start, but if for any reason we are running 5 minutes behind then I will notify Bryan at The Stable Cafe and he will make you aware. This is our 1st trial to make sure the timings work but things may have to change slightly for future walks if this doesn’t quite work out, so please bare with me (a bit of trial and error as what speed I walk may not be that of the group)
Wednesday 12th March

Meeting at 9.45am for a 10am start. A beautiful flatter 2.73 mile walk (approx.) along part of the Centurion Way and part hills viewing the River Lavant. Meeting at the Selsey Arms, West Dean, we will make our way past the West Dean stores, up a slight incline along the track, past the horses and into the bottom of the hills where we may come across sheep in the fields, crossing over a bridge taking us onto the Centurion Way where we will head back towards the beginning viewing the River Lavant, crossing the road and back to the starting point.
After rain this route can be a little muddy and unsteady for the first part, then once on the Centurion Way it is all flat footpaths.
A mixture of beautiful hill views and river views, with hopefully lots of birds singing, and sheep and horses enroute. Dogs on lead welcome.
Dogs on leads are welcome, £1 donation towards our charity of the month.
Approx. 2.73 miles long, taking approx. 1 – 1.5 hours and refreshments and facilities available back at the beginning at The Selsey Arms. Parking is available at the pub car park. A bus stop is outside the Selsey Arms for anyone travelling by public transport

Continuing on from our first 2.73mile walk this 3.12 miles walk (approx) takes us on a more hillier route takinig on part of the Monarchs Way. Meeting at 11.30am starting back at The Selsey Arms, West Dean for a 11.45am prompt start we will cross over the main road taking us up towards Warren Hanger, where we then head back past Lodge Hill Farmhouse, across the fielded footpath coming back on ourselves heading back to the starting point through the bridge and over the road once again. A combination of pathways, tracks and fields taking us on a loop with some steeper inclines and unsteady grounds in places. Can be wet and muddy after rain.
This route is slighter harder than the first walk which is a much flatter route, this one may get your heart pumping a little more and the terrain is very different from the first more pathed route.
Again facilities and refreshments available at the starting point, car parking available and also a bus stop outside the Selsey Arms.
Dogs on leads are welcome, £1 donation towards our charity of the month.
Please note as per the previous walks, on part 2 of the walk it is following on from part 1, so if you are joining us only for the second part and we are slightly delayed, we are on our way just the 1st part has taken slightly longer than planned so please wait and you can always call me on 07576 112199 to find out where we are.
Thursday 20th March

Starting at the Woolbeding Car Park, just off the A272 (turning right at the Woolbeding Junction and right again into the car park) we will walk across to Woolbeding Bridge, crossing the road up onto a field taking us through a wooded area, over a wooden bridge onto a footpath taking us through to Stedham Village.
We will then walk past the church taking us down to the stunning Stedham Mill across a footpath and bridge alongside the river, through a field continuing around the river where we may get a chance of seeing the heron, wild deer in the fields, cattle and horses on route.
Heading back to the Woolbeding bridge before heading back to the car park, this 5.10km walk is a relaxed, reasonably flat walk. There are just 20 steps from the bridge to get onto the field which can be slightly steep, and the footpaths after rain can be slightly muddy as we go through the field on the way back from Stedham Mill, so good walking boots / waterproof socks are recommended.
Ground can be a bit uneven in places. £1 donation towards the charity of the month. No facilities or refreshments stops on route so please bear this in mind. Dogs on lead are welcome.
Note a prompt start at 10.00am so we are back in time for the second continuing part at 11.30am so a suggested arrival time of 9.45am is recommended

Starting back at the Woolbeding Car Park (just off the A272) Woolbeding turning we will be continuing on from our first part of the walk. Meeting at 11.30am for a starting time at 11.45am to allow time for walkers to arrive back from part 1, we will enjoy a Rother River 2.82 mile walk. You are more than welcome to walk parts 1 and 2, or simply join 1 or 2.
We will start by walking up the gradual hill of Woolbeding Parkland viewing the Woolbeding Glasshouse in the distance.
Walking on the Rother Walk we will continue to walk through the woods down the other side of the hill where you can view the Folly in the distance. Sometimes we are lucky to view the cattle grazing in the parkland fields.
Continuing along the river walk, we will head over a long wooden boardwalk walking then along the paths around the often muddy paths along the side of the river where you can enjoy the views of the reeds, rushes, trees and wildlife.
This area can be muddy and slippery underfoot and if there has been very heavy rain then there is a possibility that this will be flooded and a slightly different route will be taken.
We will then take a turn right at the end of the route, heading back in a loop heading past the back of the Midhurst Rother College, back into fields viewing Whiphill Woods and the mast continuing on the footpaths around the edge of the fields, past the Half Moon Covert and back onto the Woolbeding Parkland back to the car park.
This route again has no facilities or refreshments but once completed a short journey back to The Half Moon Pub offers a range of food and drink and facilities. £1 donation per walk towards the charity of the month and dogs welcome on leads.
The nearest bus stop would be at the Esso Garage enroute 60 and then you would need to walk up Petersfield Road to Woolbeding Car Park which is approx a 10 – 20 minute walk depending on speed
Thursday 27th March 10am

Meeting at 9.45am for a 10am start, parking available around the start at the Heath Pond, Petersfield Heath Rd W GU31 4JG and meeting by The Plump Duck Cafe we will venture across the heath and down through the meadow and field across to Durleighmarsh Farm & Cafe and back through the back of the farm, on the footpath overlooking the beautiful fields and beyond, taking us back into Petersfield and back to the heath
A lovely relaxed, reasonably flat walk enjoying the swans, geese and ducks on the lake, scenic views, open spaces and bird singing on the way. Walking past the rivers, over a couple of stiles and a mixture of terrains. Some places can be slightly muddy still enroute.
Parking along the heath is available and toilet facilities at start, finish and about halfway around at the Durleighmarsh Cafe. Dogs on leads are welcome and £1 donation to the charity of the month.
As the walk has mixed terrains and can get a little muddy and wet in places after rain its a good idea to have good walking boots/shoes and waterproof socks.
Please arrive around 9.45am for a prompt start at 10.00am. Look forward to seeing you all and lets hope there is beautiful sunshine for us too.
