MARCH 2026 WALKS

During March 2026 we will be raising money for Tommy’s, the pregnancy and baby charity. Walk for love, walk for hope, and fundraise together to help bring more babies home.

Preventing a lifetime of loss

The impact of pregnancy and baby loss can last a lifetime. The research Tommy’s do is here to change that. But they can’t do this alone. They need your support to fund the research and care families rely on.

TUESDAY 31ST MARCH

Durleighmarsh & Petersfield Circular 6.5 mile Walk 10am

Meeting at 9.45am for a 10am start, parking available at The Tea Barn at Durleighmarsh we will venture our way over to Petersfield Heath, enjoying the fields, woodlands and countryside, hopefully seeing the start of the bluebells in the woods and make our way back through the back of the farm, on the footpath overlooking the beautiful fields and beyond, taking us to the start

A lovely relaxed, reasonably flat walk enjoying the swans, geese and ducks on the lake, scenic views, open spaces and bird singing on the way. Walking past the rivers, over a couple of stiles and a mixture of terrains. Some places can be slightly muddy still enroute.

Parking available at the start and toilet facilities at start, finish and about halfway around at the Petersfield Heath. Dogs on leads are welcome and £2 donation to the charity of the month.

As the walk has mixed terrains and can get a little muddy and wet in places after rain its a good idea to have good walking boots/shoes and waterproof socks.

Please arrive around 9.45am for a prompt start at 10.00am. Look forward to seeing you all and lets hope there is beautiful sunshine for us too.

APRIL 2026 WALKS

During April 2026 all donations from our weekly walks Coat on Coat Off Wellbeing Walks with the group will be donated to Friends of Chichester Hospitals that support so many of us during our hospital stays and visits with loved ones.

Many of you know Pete goes for a walk and his glamorous assistant Dave who is seriously ill has been supported by the St Richards Hospital Team as well as the palliative care team and we wanted to support them both this month and the great work that the charity offers.

The Friends have always provided traditional “patient comforts”, which is still a high priority and they also provide many items of medical equipment.

We hope we can raise as much for them as possible during the month and if you are not able to walk with our group but wish to donate then please feel free, every donation is so vital.
