July 23 – SDW Cocking to Arundel
Approx. 28km (17 miles)
Some walks you really do enjoy, and I must say that the SDW walk that I did back in July, walking from the top of Cocking Hill across to Amberley and Arundel was one of those most memorable walks I have done. 28km in 5.5 hours over hills, flinty paths and views that went for miles, was the perfect way to see the downs for me.
Setting out quite early in the morning, it started off dark wet and grey, but with the hope that the weather was going to get warmer come midday I enjoyed the start of a fantastic walk over the downs.
